Technische Universitaet Berlin
The internationally renowned Technische Universität Berlin is located in Germany’s capital city at the heart of Europe.
Activities focus on building a distinctive profile, exceptional performance in research and teaching, excellent qualifications for our graduates and a forward-looking administration. The TU Berlin strives to promote the dissemination of knowledge and to facilitate technological progress by adhering to the principles of excellence and quality. Strong regional, national and international networking partnerships with science and industry are an important aspect in this regard.
The TU Berlin is building on existing intensive international cooperation, and in so doing is expanding its broad science network and facilitating the establishment of new international study programs. This further underscores the TU Berlin’s strong commitment to excellence in research and academics. The change-over to a Bachelor/Master program is also helping TU Berlin graduates to better qualify themselves for the international job market.
The TU Berlin is committed to giving its students the opportunity to work and/or study abroad, to imparting cultural competencies and to promoting international exchange programs. We are also committed to expanding our graduate and postgraduate exchange programs, international Master study programs and joint degree/dual-master-programs.
Joint degree programs are already operational in a number of engineering science disciplines, for example in association with French universities, specifically the Ecoles Centrales in Paris and Lyon. The TIME Network (Top Industrial Managers for Europe) – an alliance of top-flight technical universities in Europe – plays an important role in these endeavors. In the context of TIME Network activities, to ensure excellence in engineering science education the TU Berlin has been developing state-of-the-art curricula since 2001.
