Paris Techno Parade
Once a year in front of hundreds of thousands of people, 150 DJs blast their music out across Paris in this wild and excited Techno Parade.
Techno Parade, Paris’s annual procession of carnival floats pounding mega-decibels and explosive dance beats, wound up at Place de la Bastille early on Saturday night with dance fans respecting this year’s environmental theme. Joachim Garraud, the official patron of the Techno Parade, drove the crowd wild with celebrity DJ David Guetta on the Technopol float. Meanwhile organisers claimed parade, which is followed by special club nights all over the city, is one of the biggest.
Techno Parade starts out at midday from place Denfert-Rochereau, proceeding on to place de la Bastille before winding up at place d’Italie. Lasting all afternoon, techno fans can walk, dance and enjoy themselves in a wild, carefree atmosphere ahead of, alongside or behind the colourful lovemobiles. Anyone into electroclash, dub, tech house, new age, big beat or transe is also in for a good time!
Paris is basically transformed into the biggest open-air dance floor imaginable! This year's theme: Indepen'Danse, a chance to acknowledge dance as part of the electro culture.
