New Year in Berlin

On New Year's Eve, Berlin throws the biggest open-air party in the Europe, with more than a million people welcoming the New Year at the Brandenburg Gate, Germany's signature landmark.

Since the Wall came down, Berliners love to celebrate New Year's Eve at the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol of the reunited city. The world's largest organised New Year's Eve party is hosting over two kilometres of party fun between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column.

The atmosphere is stupendous, with show stages, party tents, light and laser shows, and a mass of food and drink stands. This year around a million people will be welcoming in the New Year at Brandenburg Gate - with a spectacular fireworks show followed by a party with stars and wannabes to the very early hours!

Best Known Performers

Scheduled are performances from Kim Wilde, Udo Jürgens, Culture Beat, The Scorpions, DJ Otzi, the Hermes House Band, Cassandra Wilson, Marianne Rosenberg, DJ Bobo, Hot Chocolate and The Boss Hoss. After the big fireworks there will be an open-air nightclub in front of the Brandenburg Gate.

The party mile runs from the Brandenburg Gate along Strasse des 17. Juni up to the Victory Column. A two-kilometre-long party with show stages, international stars and stage acts, special highlights, laser and light shows, international food as well as the world-famous Berlin New Year’s Eve fireworks. The party goes on long after midnight with an open-air open-end discotheque.
